June Update from Freelancer.com

Hello, imshi2r!

ENHANCEMENTS TO OUR REPUTATION SYSTEM

We would like to announce the implementation of a brand new
Freelancer.com feedback and rating system that we have been working
on. This new system allows both freelancers and employers to rate
their experience more comprehensively using multiple dimensions. For
employers rating freelancers the new dimensions are quality,
communication, expertise, professionalism and willingness to hire
again. On the other hand for freelancers rating employers the
dimensions include  communication, clarity in specification, payment
promptness and professionalism.

This new and improved system will allow freelancers and employers to
more accurately represent their experience with other users and
therefore create a better experience for all on Freelancer.com.
At this point we are just collecting information using our new
feedback and rating system so it won't affect your profiles or current
ratings.

HELP THE CHILDREN OF THE UNITED STATES!

Usually you don't hear pleas to help kids in the USA. However, we
have a dirty little secret here. The USA is one of the last industrialized
countries in the world that still uses corporal punishment in its
public school system. Last year, over 225,000 kids were hit by
educators in public schools – some 20,000 so severly they sought
medical attention. The outdated practice of beating students with
boards and leather straps is somehow still legal in 20 US States. 107
other countries have banned it's use, and the United Nations has a
strong position against it. Doctors, Psychologists, Teachers, and
Parents agree, the USA need a nation wide ban on corporal punishment
in schools.

This is where you can help! There is a bill about to be introduced in
congress and need an outpouring of support from both inside the USA
and around the world. Can you take 30 seconds to sign the Change.org
petition calling for a Federal Ban on Corporal Punishment in US
Schools? You can also use the tools to tweet, facebook and email the
petition link to your friends.
